The Southtowns Stars take pride in having a focus on female youth hockey. Our organization feels developing the girls program is integral to making our organization a success as a whole. To that end, we've taken an active role in the female program by coordinating the following:
- Dedicated girls program board members focused on program growth, volunteer engagement, event planning and fundraising
- Dedicated girls team and program team-building events
- Fall family picnic, holiday events and year-end celebrations
We hope that this dedication to girls hockey is apparent both on and off the ice as we continue to try and develop a premier girls program in the WNY area.
The Southtowns Stars are proud to offer numerous opportunities for our girls hockey players to improve via development with the following:
- Experienced Coaching Staff (USA Hockey Certified)
- Skills and development clinics, led by our Head of Girls Player and Skill Development, Maddie Norton (former Buffalo Beaut)
- Pre-season skating
- Off-ice training sessions
- Guest women collegiate coaches
- All practices & home games at Leisure Rinks
- Set season schedules
- Includes League teams and development teams so ALL girls have an opportunity to compete and develop their game based on their needs
In addition to the above, the Southtowns Stars Girls hockey program is proud to offer the following to our girls hockey players:
- Transparent team fees
- Flexible payment plans
- Discounted Southtowns Stars branded equipment through Hockey Connection shop at Leisure Rinks
- New look Southtowns Stars jerseys, socks & pant shells included in association fee
- Coordinated team & program fundraising

Registration Fee: $1,050
All players will be required to submit a deposit of $250 upon signing contract, after successfully making a team.
