New Stars Logo and Uniforms
The Southtowns Stars are excited to announce the unveiling of a new logo and new uniforms. Please read a letter from the Southtowns Stars President, Bill Szewc, within and checkout a video of the uniform reveal!
I recently wrote about our plans to transform the Southtowns Stars organization into a sought-after place to play hockey while we shed the old stigma that shadowed us. We’ve made significant strides over the last couple of months to build on this goal. Now I’m thrilled to announce that we reached two of those milestones: our new logo and uniforms!
After piloting the uniforms with two of our teams last season, we actively looked for feedback from families, coaches, tournament directors, referees, alumni, and anyone else willing to share their thoughts. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Our new look will give our teams an opportunity to get behind a fun and exciting time in our organization. As we anticipate enthusiasm and unity among our teams, the new logo and uniforms mark a new beginning for us.
One thing that was important to our committee were the helmets. After spending extensive time at clinics and camps, we noticed that players from other organizations were easily distinguishable on the ice thanks to their helmets. We wanted the same for our players—to be instantly recognizable. We’re proud of our youth hockey players and want them to be noticed.
Starting now, you’ll see information about these changes shared throughout our hockey community. The Board is fully committed to this process, and I couldn’t be more excited about the future of our organization.
Thank you,
Bill Szewc, President
